ICHS Council Elections Nominations deadline is July 1, 2022

Dear Colleagues:

I would like to remind you that this is an important time for our premier society.  Your ICHS membership entitles you to vote in the election and give you a real voice in shaping the future direction of ICHS.  The Immunocompromised Host Society will soon hold elections for four new Council members to be installed at the Basel Biennial meeting September 8-11, 2022.  Council Member elections take place prior to each Biennial Symposium and each council member is selected by majority vote of the ICHS General Membership.

All current ICHS members are encouraged to submit names for nominees that will be considered by the nomination committee for the upcoming election. The current Nomination Committee consists of the past President, Monica Slavin, the President Elect, Murat Akova and the Executive Director, William Kirkpatrick.

ICHS International Council Members are appointed for a term of 4 years. Each Council member will hold office until his/her successor has been elected and qualified. The Council meets every three months by teleconference and at ASM Microbe, ECCMID, or another meeting where a quorum of the Council members is present.  Ad hoc meetings may be called as needed.  Eligibility to election to the Council requires ICHS membership for 2 years and willingness to participate in quarterly and ad hoc teleconferences and in planning and support of the biennial meeting.  Candidates for the Executive Council will generally be current or previous Council members.

Please submit names of your nominees to William Kirkpatrick (kirkpatrick@ichs,org) by July 1, 2022.  A list of candidates will be available on the ICHS website (www.ichs.org) well in advance of the e-mail election.

Thank you for all your contributions to ICHS.

William R. Kirkpatrick
