Join ICHS for this webinar where we will present a case-based approach to evaluating immunocompromised travelers returning from South America, the Middle East, and Asia, with syndromes such as fever, rash, skin lesions, etc, focusing on locally prevalent arbovirus infections, bacterial and parasitic infections.
Participants will review region-specific and country-specific epidemiologic risks, differential diagnoses, practical approaches to diagnosis in non-endemic settings, treatment, and prevention.
Emphasis will be placed on how clinical presentation, diagnosis, prevention, and management of these travel-related infections might differ in immunocompromised populations (SOT/HCT/B-cell depletion) compared with immunocompetent travelers.

He is a professor of Infectious Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University of the Missions (UCAMI).
