Congratulations on a Successful Program!
The 4th Biennal Symposium on Infections in Inmunocompromised Patients organized by the Commitee on Infections in the Inmunocompromised patient of the Argentinian Society of Infectious Diseases, was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on September 26 and 27th.
There were 11 sessions, 26 local speakers and 7 international invited speakers: Monica Slavin, Marisa Miceli, Michael Lionakis, Roy Chemaly, Thomas Lehrnbecher, Fabianne Carlesse and Luis Ostrosky.
There were 3 interactive sessions. The Symposium was held in an hybrid format. Over 400 participants attended in vivo, and up to 1055 participants connected online. Atendees were from Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, India, Paraguay, PerĂº, Nicaragua, Singapore, Spain, UK, Uruguay and USA.
The main topics were: multiresistance and stewarship; prevention of infections with new therapies in oncohematologic and solid tumours; HSCT and autoinmune diseases; vaccine in the inmunocompromised patient; viral infections; and ONE health.
Dr Thomas Lehrnbecher participated in a “Meet the Expert” specially dedicated to pediatric fungal infections.
We are really thankful to all invited speakers for their commitment with the Symposium and their outstanding presentations.
