The Mycology Initiative

 

Programs developed by the International Immunocompromised Host Society (lCHS)
 

The Mycology Initiative is an accredited education program for physicians, health-care practitioners and medical students. It is designed to provide leading edge information in the epidemiology, risk factors, diagnosis and treatment of invasive fungal infections in the immunocompromised host.
We would like to acknowledge Fujisawa Healthcare, Inc. for their support of this
program.

 

The Mycology Initiative Education Program is comprised of a series of modules.

Three are now available:


Module 1: Opportunistic Fungi in the Immunocompromised Patient.  Available for download:

Module 2: Opportunistic Fungi In Cancer and Hematopoietic Stem-cell Transplant Patients.  Available for download: Mod 2 Slides

 

Module 3: Fungal Infections in Solid Organ Transplant Recipients.  Module 3 is only available to active members.

 

The ICHS is a worldwide multidisciplinary organization whose membership comprises over 600 clinicians representing 60 countries. Working in collaboration with governments, professional societies and industry, the ICHS is dedicated to research and education in the area of immune dysfunction. Members work together from bench to bedside, establishing guidelines for the diagnosis and prevention of infections in oncology, transplant and AIDS patients.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
