Toxoplasmosis Beyond Transplantation: Diagnostic and Prevention Challenges in Patients Receiving Targeted Immunomodulators

As the landscape of immunomodulatory therapies rapidly expands—including CAR-T cell therapy, bispecific antibodies, and other targeted agents—opportunistic infections are increasingly being recognized outside traditional transplant populations. This CPC will explore the evolving risk of toxoplasmosis in these settings, focusing on mechanisms of immune dysregulation, diagnostic complexity, prevention strategies, and multidisciplinary management.
